Narrative Text adalah teks yang menceritakan suatu peristiwa atau rangkaian kejadian secara runtut untuk menghibur, memberikan pelajaran (moral value), atau menyampaikan pesan kepada pembaca. Cerita dapat berupa legenda, dongeng, fabel, mitos, cerita rakyat, maupun cerita fiksi modern.

Several days later, the lion was trapped in a hunter's net. The mouse came and bit the ropes until the lion was free.
